Short CV (highlights):
- Strong internationalization. I spent around 4 years abroad in institutions of excellence (in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany), developing the ability to establish and cultivate profitable relationships with foreign colleagues which take the form of drafting projects, exchanging researchers and international activities. such as the “Leonardo da Vinci” Call for 2013 and 2023 of the Italian-French University, the International Agreement registered on the MIUR with Israel, and as a member of the European COST Action TD1003 Board of Directors, in invitations to plenary conferences at conferences or at schools at international, Member of editorial boards of sector magazines (5).
- Chair (in 2013 and 2019) and co-Chair (in 2014) of major international conferences as well as member of the executive and scientific committees of many others;
- I am the recipient of numerous and important funding for research projects from national and international public bodies as both Coordinator (ERANET Photonic Sensing, Ministry of Health and World anti-doping agency WADA) and Principal Investigator (PI), of which three have been funded from the European Union (WP7 and 2 in H2020), two from WADA, two from the Tuscany Region, five from the Ministry of Health, both as Manager of research contracts with companies; He currently participates in the PNNR, Innovative Health Ecosystem, on the topic Nanotechnologies for Diagnosis and Therapy; in particular the activity focuses on the theme: 2 Innovative analytical platforms for personalized, anticipated and low cost diagnosis” (UNIPI cluster, spoke 4).
- I was a member of the Group of Evaluation Experts for the chemical area (GEV 03) – National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR), for the evaluation of research produced in universities and research centers supervised by the MIUR (VQR 2011-2014);
- I am a member of panels for the allocation of research funding of important international agencies/bodies (including EU, ANR, Czech Science Fundation, Romanian National Council for Scientific Research, Israeli Ministry of Science, in total 14) as well as of the MIUR ;
- I have been carrying out teaching activities for 24 years at the courses in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences at UNIFI, as well as in courses in other courses and lectures in the Doctorate at UNIFI and by invitation at other universities; Since 2023 the teaching activity has been carried out at the University of Pisa.
- I have been the tutor of doctoral theses (5) in Chemical Sciences; supervisor of numerous degree theses (23). Among the people trained are a winner of the SIR call (S. Scarano 2014), doctoral students and post-docs at research institutes in Italy (IIT – CCT@Morego and IIT@ SNS) and abroad (France, Dublin City University- Ireland, ETH-Switzerland). I am currently tutor of 2 doctoral theses @ UNIFI (THE PNNR project, spoke 4) and @UNIPI (PhD in Pharmaceutical Science and Bioactive Substances from 2024, VINCI 2023 project);
